COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course offers an introduction to the Journey program and to a broader understanding of the Iliff curriculum and faculty. The course was designed specifically for Journey students enrolled in their first quarter to develop cohort and community building. It introduces students to the critical questions, disciplinary perspectives, and skills needed to engage with the Iliff curriculum and online theological education.

TEXTBOOK & COURSE MATERIALS

There are no required texts for this course. All content will be posted to the Canvas site as needed.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop a sense of identity within the cohort learning community through weekly online discussions and on-campus activities during Journey week.
  • Demonstrate effective online communication by participating in online discussions by incorporating audio and video technology.
  • Articulate the Iliff curriculum and the six core areas through discussions and inquiry.
  • Learn about the Iliff faculty expertise and commitments to theological education though written assignments and discussions.
